Kevin Feige admits that the Marvel-licensed movies released from 2000 to 2007, which he co-produced, were hit or miss. He then learned what does and doesn’t work and used this to help him create the MCU. At DC, Zack Snyder was never given this necessary learning process. He was expected to run the first day he walked by creating a cinematic universe from scratch. Even though he had other movies under his belt, coordinating a long term series where there is a long term through line but also each chapter is entertaining on its own and all characters are completely represented is an incredibly challenging narrative juggling act. It took Feige multiple attempts to get it right but the world has written the DCEU off after only a few installments. Completely unfair.
